"'and what is the use of a book,' thought Alice, 'without pictures or conversations?''

What indeed. And so I hope to fill this book, upon occassion, with random snapshots of my life and thoughts, and pleasant chatter with friends.

Hearth bread, real butter, and a tomato ripe and warmed by the sun. Yum. My all-time favourite. Hard to imagine this fruit (yeah, it's really a fruit) used to be considered poisonous (well, it IS a member of the Nightshade family). Kim Harrison (entertaining, cleverly titled 'Dead Witch Walking', 'The Good, The Bad, and the Undead' and 'Every Which Way But Dead') writes of a world where the lucious tomato is once again feared and reviled -- except by witches.

Oopsie, did I just out myself?
