Just a short, rambling update on my busy life...
As for the silly 'All that Jazz/Chicago' subject line, last night was the final of ''So You Think You Can Dance", which we started watching this summer. Think of the "Idol" talent shows, only with dancing -- it's actually more fun to watch a hiphop artist trying to waltz than listening to a country singer trying to show punk edge. I'm quite pleased with the end result -- my two favourites were the finalists (one of those situations where either one winning would have made me happy). I'm actually looking forward to the next season. There, that's a guilty confession that should last for a bit.
But right now, the music of one particular routine (the jazz one, hence the title) is goin' 'round and 'round in my head.
Presently I'm sew-sew-sew-sew-sewing. I love working with fine fabrics, but they require special techniques, and those are time consuming. And I'm annoyed that we can't seem to get our portable CD player to work so I'm stuck listening to radio rotations. And when your sitting there listening for hours on hours straight, believe me, you get to know all the rotations blocks and all the dopey game events. But still, it's not that bad, really -- it's nothing on what the radio stations were doing when we were in Nevada touring Death Valley and environs. We could get two 'classic soft rock/country' stations. One had started doing their archives alphabetically; a few days later, the other had started from the other end of the alphabet. We were listening when both were more or less in the middle at L or M or K or thereabouts. Know how many bad songs start with those letters? Lots. But all in all, things are really going very well.
Back to it!!
