Finally! And she's not flirting with us, either. How do I know this? It's finally nice enough to wear sandals! Woo-hoo!
Had a nice walk home after my chiro appointment. I managed to resist the first Starbucks on the route, but they've put in a *second* one! No fair! So my nice long walk was negated by a caramel macchiato and a cranberry scone. Still, I enjoyed the fresh air and sunshine.
More signs of spring: all the corner grocery stores are started to put out early bedding and potted plants. Crowds of jabbering Italian men are clustering about the cappocino shop, the halal butchers have new specials on, the Greeks have moved from Tim Horton's to the fountain square, the skateboarders are trying out the steps of the Catholic church and the falafel and giro stands are being rolled out.
And the Italian grocers have their seed racks out -- I bought two varieties of tomatoes and some basil. I usually buy baby tomato plants, or save my own seeds, but I thought this year I'll try some new varieties.
