Been a while since I updated; June has been a busy month. I spent this weekend at a convention (Gaylaxicon, a queer sf/f/h con), and the week proceeding it, getting ready for it. Small con (200 or so people), very small art show (but I sold a piece!), lots of fun. Reconnected with some dear friends, went to alot of panels, and listened to alot of interesting people say interesting things, some of which I'm still processing, and some of which I will attempt to misquote later. Oh, and I bought alot of cool books. Which I will read and sometime later attempt to talk about.
It rained last night (something the garden and air quality desperately needed). I didn't get much work done in the garden last week, nor much work in the house, thanks to pre-con prep, so this week is catch-up week. Hurrah.
I've become addicted to a new reality show - Hell's Kitchen. A dozen hopefuls (only a bare few of whom seem at all qualified to be there - this is what happens when producers do the casting) are attempting to prove their chefhood. Which is difficult when so many of them barely seem to know what end of a knife to hold.
So, the theme for the summer is chefs and dancers. We shall be amused.
