BLACK MOON: The absence of light: motia attar, black orchid, mugwort, English pear, cucumber, blue lotus, jonquil, massoia, calamus and crystal musk. At first I thought this was more of a 'new moon' scent, that bare whisper of the first crescent. It has a light coolness to it. But as it mellows on my skin it deepens and I feel like I'm getting hints dark, musky jasmine. I'm looking forward to seeing how this matures.
SCHWARZER MOND: The keeper of secrets: opoponax, Tunisian black amber, night musk, antique patchouli, zdravetz, terebinth, myrrh, and Pimenta racemosa. Am completely loving this, both on my skin and in a scent locket. Amazingly complex and deep. At the moment I'm thinking it's my ultimate resiny scent.
Frimps:
Blood Pearl Lustrous, sanguine, soft and lavish: soft orris, blood musk, and coconut. Yummmmm. Soft and lavish, indeed!
Vixen
Rapture
Mata Hari five roses with soft jasmine, vanilla, fig, tonka bean & mahogany, coffee bean. Also a hint of smoke.
Rakasha Sandalwood with rose and patchouli. OMGS. Loving this.
Nefertiti
Water of Notre Dame
Hemlock
I especially squee'd at the Hemlock - I'd really been wanted to try it. Lab write up says: We have created a dark, profound herbal blend to personify and honor this wicked little plant. So no clue there. And it's this awesome shade of green. It's springy and fresh (eucalyptus, maybe? hint of lemon? evergreen?). Really like this. Don't think I'd ever wear it, but I can definitely see working with it.
And Nefertiti Egyptian iris and olibanum with red and white sandalwood, soft myrrh and a breath of North African herbs. -- a light myrrh scent, maybe too light, I think the sw is fighting with it. The florals are a bare echo, a whisper on the wind. Still, what's not to like about sw and myrrh?
I'm always a little cautious about the voodoo scents, not knowing their make-up. But Water of Notre Dame delivers what it says. Brings peace to the spirit, a sense of calm and fulfillment, and attracts the aid of beneficial spirits. It's vibe reminds me a little of TAL White Light. Worth exploring.
