BITTER MOON…. Kokoro no oni ga mi wo semeru. The body is tortured only by the demon of the heart. Nepal poppy, lotus root, wild rose, and blue hibiscus with blackberry, tonka, sage, lavender, peony and vetiver. I'm finding it hard to pick out the specific notes in this -- I'm getting grapefruit and berry, mostly, with a hint of herby goodness beneath. On my skin, the grapefruit (is that the poppy? the lotus? rose? all three?) is mellowing and the herbs speaking up. I hope this has some decent staying power -- I really like it.

FEU FOLLET -- Deceptively gentle and lethally alluring. Jasmine and rose, touched with sparkling heliotrope. Nothing gentle about this for me, but it sure is alluring. This one has slathering potential.... OMGS, this is gorgeous. Perfect. I must have more.

GLASYA -- A seething, fiery blend of dragon's blood, deep myrrh, red and black musks, civet and thick red patchouli, glistening with drops of rose and ylang ylang.

TYPHON -- Our own blend of Earth and Hell: red patchouli, sandalwood, black musk and vetiver.

YUKI-ONNA -- The Lady of the Snow, Winter Ghost, Snow Queen. A chilling, haunted blend of bergamot, lemon verbena, sandalwood and jasmine.

PURPLE PHOENIX - A regal, majestic, and somber blend of myrrh, plum blossom, African violet, cognac, fig, orris, lilac, wisteria, black plum, and Burgundy wine grapes. It's PURPLE! Purple, purple, PURPLE! Really. This is EXACTLY what purple should smell like. Fabulous!

WILHELMINA MURRAY -- Tea rose, white sandalwood and a flurry of pale, virginal blossoms, smeared with a smoky, blood-soiled blend of myrrh, hyacinth, Daemonorops resin, dark musk and blackcurrant.




frimps (new):

Manhattan - sheer amber, black leather, white mint, lemon peel, white tea, grapefruit, kush, teakwood and orchid.

Tweedledum - Green mango, fig, patchouli and green tea.

Dragon's Milk - Dragon's blood resin and honeyed vanilla.

Imp - Devilishly playful: white peach, amber, golden musk and patchouli.

Centzon Totochtin - bittersweet Mexican cocoa with rum, red wine, and a scent redolent of sacrificial blood.

Psyche - Bulgar rose, Chinese white musk, lavender, orchid and frankincense. Lavender and rose are prominent in this. Very prominent.

Bastet - Luxuriant amber, warm Egyptian musk, fierce saffron and soft myrrh, almond, cardamom and golden lotus. Lovely, realllly lovely. The almond note really makes this, nicely balancing the faint spice in the mix.

Muse - A light, invigorating floral and citrus blend. Tuberose, lotus and jasmine with a hint of lime. Oh, yes, just the right touch of citrus. I really want to see what this one does on my skin.

Haunted - Soft golden amber darkened with a touch of murky black musk. THIS could be a new favourite.
